My learning Journey so far...

1st Grade
Madame Verdier was my primary school teacher. She used to travel all over the world and shared videos of her travels, on which she based her lessons. For example, she went to the Arctic regions, and I learned about icebergs, the animals that live in the North Pole, the Inuit and their culture. Her teachings were meant to enable us to see beyond our immediate environment. She gave me the gift to venture out of my city and country and embrace other cultures.
High-School
In Secondary
school, I had an English teacher called Madame Rateau. She was a former native
from Yugoslavia and was extremely dynamic and devoted to her students. While
covering the academic material, she somehow managed to also teach us about her
culture through English, and we ended up taking part in a Yugoslavian folk
dance group and also took some classes in Russian. Because of her, I learned one
may have to follow rules, but still use their creativity to remain free.
Work
Last year, my colleague and I learned the basics of data analysis using
Tableau Prep Builder to clean data and Tableau Desktop for data visualization.
The goal was to create online instructional videos on the subject for the
French-speaking public. The person in charge of training the trainers was a
specialist in both applications. The content taught consisted mainly of
learning how to navigate in each application, how to manipulate data and how to
link the use of both applications to optimize data analysis.
